I joined LA Fitness gym, nation wide membership. Many of those gyms have big parking lots and allow semi truck parking for members. In a pinch, I've also parked in truck areas or in docks at mall stores or around back at a big shopping plaza. If you stay the night at a motel, save the truck parking pass from the motel. Always look out for tow away signs. Sometimes it's just hiding in plain sight.

I bought this device and is not working at all I called the support and he start asking me rsrp I give this information and he was like oh wow is good but basically he was bs me because I did have a good service in the area and the device was off. When I told him I need the service where I don’t have any service he was like oh you’re not going to get any service if you don’t have any bars where you located 😂 this things doesn’t help at all

I like Crete and I run Walmart and only issue is that my preplans are low short miles and seems like they give the long load miles and to the driver thats been there longer, I see favoritism I get 180 miles for one load and then 88 miles for another load and then get back to DC and still have 6 hours left on the clock. Walmart should be 2000-3000 a week and they give me 1800 to 1900 a week!

Am just about to get my permit. Am someone who's commuted over 600 miles per week interstate, for over a decade, in a vehicle mind you, but out there with truckers at all hours, and have loved the way they drive, they are safer than most drivers by far. And friendly! You move over for one, they flash their "thank you" lights!! I'm always careful to make sure I'm not in their way, as I know this isn't easy. And say a prayer they get to their destination safely, and safely home. Finally decided to take the plunge, and think your channel is top notch, for your positivity, creating a great role model and information source on the great things of trucking, without sugar coating anything, and you give a healthy respectful perspective. It's really dangerous for sure, and if you take that for granted, it could cost you dearly. So glad I found your channel. God's blessings to you both!

The die fuel is for tax purposes. If I put fuel in my boat… the fuel shouldn’t have the road taxes charged on it. Green die fuel is for farm equipment because it doesn’t get used on roads therefor shouldn’t have the road taxes. The officer wanted to make sure he had road taxed fuel in his road driving vehicle.

I’ve been trucking 1.5 years. This is great advice! The only thing I would add-on is his advice about driving at night. In certain places in the country and depending on my delivery appointment times I will change to a night shift. It’s kind of like as far as parking goes, you zig while they zag. Don’t wing it, plan for it.

Nestle water? They are always heavy loads coming from nestle water and the pay for hauling the loads of water is cheap. Not good.

If they can't find anything wrong they keep you longer, it's a bad habit dot officers have. They want to find something wrong to prove their point, I had a Arizona DOT check the truck twice and didn't find anything wrong he got mad and keep asking questions out of the ordinary for truck drivers. I've had tight spots to back into when I first started and wanted to cry and luckily I've had other drivers to help but still I was frustrated...so I definitely applaud you cause u always seem so calm...every time I see a crete truck I always look to see if it's you and Tonya 😅

#1 tip don’t hire out with a mega carrier

I finally got my own truck, and finished with having a trainer. The goal was for me was to practice the 45 back at the end of each day, but the parking was so crazy we sometimes had to park “creatively” as my trainer said. He was really good about not doing that unless he had to. We even parked at a place and bought a spot, and someone parked in a way where we couldn’t get in it without asking him to move. Side note I was never shown how to do the 45 until being in the middle of a busy parking lot. The company I got my CDL has their own school. I actually like the company a lot,but my initial instructor only showed us enough to pass the CDL test which was only parallel, offset, and straight.he was supposed to show us the 45. If I didn’t pass the 45 back driver skill evaluation I’d be fired and sent a bill for 7,000$.

The passion for driving trucks is gone thanks to the government, the DOT always has a reason to fine because it is a business, think of a u-haul truck those trucks are always overweight but since it is not a business they do not check them when you he makes money with a truck he has to give the government the cut
